Privacy Policy

The Short Version
FinanceTracker collects no data whatsoever. Everything you enter stays in your browser, on your device. We have no servers, no databases, no analytics, and no way to see your information.
Data Storage
- All financial data (expenses, income, debts, investments, budgets) is stored in your browser's localStorage.
- This data never leaves your device. There is no backend server and no network transmission of your data.
- Clearing your browser data or cache will permanently delete your FinanceTracker data.
What We Do Not Do
- No accounts or sign-up - we never ask for your name, email, or any personal information.
- No cookies for tracking or advertising.
- No analytics or telemetry of any kind.
- No selling, sharing, or processing of data - we never have access to it in the first place.
Third-Party Resources
The app loads two open-source JavaScript libraries (Chart.js and SheetJS) from the jsDelivr CDN, and fonts from Google Fonts. These requests fetch static files only; your financial data is never included in them. These providers may log standard request metadata (such as IP address) per their own privacy policies.
File Uploads
When you import a CSV or Excel statement, the file is parsed entirely in your browser. It is never uploaded to any server.
Your Control
- Delete everything at any time using the in-app reset buttons, or by clearing your browser's site data.
- Your data is yours - it exists only where you put it.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Since we collect nothing, changes are unlikely.
